Giving Artisan Soap As A Gift

By Daniel Wallace

For some people, it is hard to think of something that is nice to look at as being practical. This holds especially true when an item costs slightly more than comparable products that are produced by a large corporation. Artisan soap is one of those things that tends to be misunderstood but there are many current users who wish they had made the switch sooner.

One would not think that any soap product that comes in a combination of bright colors and vibrant scents contains antioxidants. In addition to liquid glycerin, a natural moisturizer, there are many ingredients used in different type of natural soap products that can help reverse a number of skin conditions. While a dermatologist should look at serious skin conditions, the following is just a sample of what these types of cleansers can remedy.

While there are many imposters on the market, the best thing for the consumer to do is read the ingredients. If a person runs across a live independent seller and uncertain about making a purchase, the best option is to check their online real estate. A website or blog, along with review sites can give basic information about a seller. If the findings are inconclusive, it may be best to buy a small item and test for allergies.

A lot of natural food stores and artisans take pride in creating a product that uses the purest oils, plants, and seeds. These are not produced by the masses or an outside facility. One way to think of it is not having to spend more money on medication or treatments to cure common skin issues.

On top of having properties that protect against aging and inflammation, shea butter can also help protect the skin from excessive sun exposure. This nut butter is also a great moisturizer and can be used as an emollient for eczema when minimally processed. The refined version of shea butter is safe for those who have nut or tree allergies.

Pure oils, like coconut and olive, are ideal for restoring natural moisture. For extreme situations, it may also help to make changes in diet. There are many beverages and foods that can rob the skin of its natural pH properties.

Another choice for extra dry skin is to use pure nut butters. In their natural form, these are not cheap but a little goes a long way. There may be similar products on the market that may be advertised as a blend but these are usually chemicals and synthetic oils that leave skin feeling greasy shortly after application.

While there are many hobbyists learning this skill, anyone looking for a product should try an experienced merchant or someone with natural ingredient knowledge. The reason is that amateur artisans may use too much of a product, or something that is not shelf stable. Since these do not contain commercial detergents, the initial user experience will be a little different but pleasing to the touch.
