The toilet is supposed to be stable with no stains around the base. Test to ensure there is no evidence of past leaking around the base of the shower or bath.

Check on appliances to see if they have any rust. This includes the dishwasher, oven and the microwave. Check how old they are. Some appliances could be discontinued models. You might have difficulties finding the spare parts if they break down. This could lead to replacing them all together if they break down.
